Lolita Photoshoot

Hi there lovelies, how are you all?

I'm sorry I have been so busy lately that I haven't had time to blog. But I thought for this post I'd like to share my photographs I submitted for a couple of model competitions. I entered one for GLW's 'muse for a weekend' at Anime Matsuri where you model their wigs at the expo, and the other was Bodyline's model search where you spend a week in Japan modelling for them. The GLW competition begins as a photo competition on facebook - so look out for me spamming my link next month! I would be so happy if I won one of these contests! It has been my dream for quite some time now to get into the J-Fashion modelling business, and I think this could be the break I've been looking for!

My Nanoo (Grandmother) was kind enough to take photographs of me, so here are my favourite four:

~Coordinate Rundown~
Dress: Angelic Pretty Wonder Party OP in Pink
Cuffs: Baby, the Stars Shine Bright
Shoes: Secret Shop Tea Parties in Pink
Wig: eBay
Rose Headband: Handmade by me

This is my favourite coordinate at the moment, unfortunately the girl I bought the OP off did not have the head bow, so I have had to make do with a pink rose headband I quickly put together before Supanova! I think it still works quite well with my elegant tea party print and pink theme. Although, I am still on the look out for a Wonder Party head bow in the pink or pink x sax colour way, so if any of you cuties spot any available please let me know!

I hope you like my photos, tell me what you think! Don't forget to subscribe to my blog & like my facebook page!

Much love,
Rhiannon xo.

Brisbane Supanova 2013

Last weekend I attended Supanova in Brisbane. I cosplayed as Homura Akemi on Saturday, and wore lolita on Sunday. It was very hot and humid. I had a lot of fun, but I was a bit disappointed with the layout and the lack of air-conditioned space. What else do you expect from a convention at the RNA Showgrounds? This was my first time attending Brisbane Supanova. I can't wait for next year! They are re-locating to the BCEC! I think next year it will be a lot more enjoyable for everyone. I met numerous people over the weekend and have made some lovely new friendships. I bought a few little goodies and got to see some amazing cosplays and stores! All in all I still had a fantastic time, regardless of the heat!

My outfits:
Saturday ~ Homura Akemi Cosplay.
On Saturday I cosplayed one of my favourite anime characters, Homura Akemi. I purchased my outfit from Bodyline, my shield from a seller on eBay, and my wig also from a seller on eBay. I also wore Geo Super Size Nudy circle lenses in violet which I bought from Pinky Paradise. I will be doing reviews for every item later in the week! So keep your eyes pealed for that!

Sunday ~ Lolita.
On Sunday I wore my favourite lolita dress I own - Wonder Party OP by Angelic Pretty. This dress has been one one of my dream dresses since I laid eyes on it! The print detail is beautiful, and the small characteristics like the gold club & heart buttons, and the tiny spoon on the collar really compliment the dress. Not only is it my favourite colour, Wonder Party features tea pots & cups on the print, as well as cupcakes, and I'm obsessed with all three! I actually have a small tea pot & cup collection, which every now and then I add to.

I have only been able to find a few photographs of myself with my friends on the internet that were taken of us, and I have a few not-so-hot-quality phone photographs.(My shield is on the wrong arm in these photos because I wanted to have it in them)
My friend Shawna (Junko Enoshima) and myself.

Homura twinning! Ran into my friend Nikki who also cosplayed Homura on Saturday.

I have already started thinking about who to cosplay next year, sadly (not really) I will be missing out on Gold Coast Supanova 2014 as I will be in Japan! (now you see why I said not really). But I am excited to hear that Comic Con is coming to Brisbane! So that means two conventions next year again, yay!

I hope you've enjoyed the pictures, and if you happen to see any that include myself or any of my friends, please post the links in a comment so I can have them!
Much love,
Rhiannon xo.

Japan holiday!

Hello cuties! I’m sorry for the lack of posts; I have been very busy with work (doing 5-6 days a week) so my days off are spent doing housework and running errands! My parents arrived back from Adelaide last week and they still have my camera, so I’m unable to share my reviews and activities I have been doing until it is returned to me. So this post I’d like to talk about my Japan holiday I am planning for next year.

My boyfriend Luke, and best friend Ellise are both coming with me to Japan in late March/April next year! Since my birthday is in April, and the cherry blossoms will be in full bloom, I thought what better month to go?! I am getting VERY excited, and will hopefully purchasing plane tickets sooner than later (after I get all of my bills sorted, of course). We are planning to arrive in Osaka, and depart from Tokyo, stopping at Kyoto and other cities in between.

Japan is my dream destination, and to be there for a month exploring all I have wanted to do there will be amazing! From now until then I am going to try and save every penny I can; which means limited purchasing of things I don’t really need. I’m going to start shopping at second hand stores again, as well as eBay (not that I don’t already!)

I am still researching places to see, and I am not going to plan every single day of our holiday. I will plan the tours, accommodation and flights, but that’s it! I will write down of everything I want to see and then go day-by-day getting through the list (randomly, of course!) We are spending most of our time in Tokyo, as there is so much I want to see there. When I have more information I’ll most certainly write a post on the sights I am going to see!

Have you been to Japan? What are some amazing places to go, and things to do? I don’t want to miss out! ^.^

Much love,
Rhiannon xo.

Miss Nikki (。♥‿♥。)

On this post I’d like to show my love & appreciation for my good friend Nikki Parker. Nikki is a lovely lady with a great sense of style and a very talented freelance illustrator/graphic designer! This little cutie is from Brisbane & has a major sweet tooth! She has years of Visual Arts & Graphic Design studies behind her and is currently finishing her degree. In the later months especially, Nikki has been very busy with lots of commissions for things such as invitations, gifts & business logos. Her unique style is present in all works she has produced, and has such happy customers (me being one of them!)

A few days ago she completed my commission for my blog. During the design process she asked about every single detail you see in my header, icon & side bar titles. Nikki was so helpful, and such a pleasure to work with. She exceeded my expectations, and I am completely over the moon with the result! I love the look of my blog and its all thanks to her! Hopefully I will work with her again in the future. I certainly recommend her to anyone who requires any graphic design work, or who just wants a beautiful piece of art! Nikki cares so much about her client’s wants & needs, and I believe is very successful in portraying them with her own technique and style!

Above are two of my favourite works Nikki has created!
You can view Miss Nikki’s facebook here, her blog here, & her store here.
Thanks again to Nikki for the super cute designs for my blog!
Much love,
Rhiannon xo

Introducing Rhiannon, the magical girl!

Hello cuties! I have decided to make my first post a little introduction of my self! Here goes nothing!

My name is Rhiannon, I live in Northern New South Wales, Australia. I am 19 years of age and am currently working. I am a Taurus. At the moment I have magenta hair, pale skin, and I am quite little. My favourite colours are pink, lavender & mint. I have a lovely boyfriend who I’ve been with for over 2 years now, and I love him more than anything! I enjoy playing my violin, writing, watching anime, playing video games, and dressing in my Lolita outfits. My favourite animes are Sailor Moon, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and Cardcaptor Sakura. I also love to hula hoop and bake yummy things!

I am a BIG food enthusiast! I love avocadoes, strawberries, and any type of potato. My favourite meal is baked zucchini risotto, and favourite drink is mint milk tea with tapioca pearls! However, I don’t eat any red meat, and hardly eat chicken. I think vegetables, beans and fruits are the yummiest! I love Japanese language and culture, and hopefully at the beginning of next year I will start attending a Japanese language course in Brisbane! I have previously learnt Japanese in both Primary & High School, but I can hardly remember it.

I hope you all enjoy my future posts, and don’t be afraid to ask any questions or give suggestions!
Much love,
Rhiannon xo
